Point layers

Major Cities (MajorCities) | The Major Cities (MajorCities File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer contains the names of major cities. |
Maneuvers (Maneuvers) | The Maneuvers (Maneuvers File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer gives detailed information about restricted maneuvers. A maneuver is a mandatory, preferred or prohibited access of a Transportation Element in relation to another Transportation Element. |
Network System Junctions (Routing_ND_Junctions) | The Network System Junctions (Routing_ND_Junctions File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer represents points that connect edges of the network dataset and facilitate navigation from one edge to another. |
Override Points (Routing_Streets_Override) | The Override Points (Routing_Streets_Override File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer represents connection points indicating where connectivity occurs mid-span along the merged line features of the dissolved network dataset, Routing_ND. |
Points of Interest (POI) | The Points of Interest (POI File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer contains the names of points of interest in North America. A Point of Interest (POI), also called a "Service," is a point representation of an activity at a specific location. "Service" represents the activity and not necessarily the building in which the activity takes place. Although the point also may serve as a destination landmark, the point does not necessarily represent an entire physical object. A POI also can be a central point of an area. |
Postal Codes (PostalCodePoints) | The Postal Codes (PostalCodePoints File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer represents the postal code areas as centroids. |
Signposts Point Location (SignpostsLocation) | The Signposts Point Location (SignpostsLocation File Geodatabase Feature Class) point layer contains freeway signposts. Signposts are useful for directional and destination information. Transportation Elements that lead to a destination indicated by a signpost can be linked. |

This layer contains all of the edges/lines/arcs and attributes required for address geocode operations. The parsed addresses conform to normal postal standards for the spelling of street abbreviations and road names. |

Streets (Streets) | The Streets (Streets File Geodatabase Feature Class) line layer represents streets, motorways, freeways, highways, major roads, secondary roads, local and connecting roads, back roads, roads with special characteristics, access ramps, service roads, pedestrian walkways, and ferries. This dataset contains all roads plus all road network features such as functional road classifications, blocked passages, overpass and underpass (Z-level) information, toll roads, speeds, access restrictions, lane information, travel times, direction of travel, driving side, and classes. In addition, this road network includes trucking restrictions and preferred routes, as well as historical traffic data. This dataset is licensed and requires a license file for access. |

Each SignPost is defined by a combination of two edges. Therefore one Signposts entry is defined by two entries in Signposts Streets layer: one for the From Edge and one for the To Edge. The From Edge ID and To Edge ID involved in the SignPost can be disconnected. |

TMC Location (TMCLocation) | The TMC Location (TMCLocation File Geodatabase Table) table contains information on TMC Locations. TMC Location is related to one Point Location in the TMC location database and refers to objects along or at the Road Network. |
TMC Location Index (TMCLocationIndex) | The TMC Location Index (TMCLocationIndex File Geodatabase Table) table lists all Transportation Elements belonging to the same TMC Location or Path. A TMC Location also can include Junctions. |
TMC Path (TMCPath) | The TMC Path (TMCPath File Geodatabase Table) table is the database representation of the path along which TMC Path Point Locations are situated. It is stored as the complex feature TMC Path and refers to a captured Road Element or Ferry Connection that is located in between two TMC Locations. |
